Why I wrote the book
South Africa is at a crossroads. Before the nation lies tremendous opportunity and danger. Part of the opportunity/danger paradox is the Land Matter: “land expropriation without compensation.” I wrote the book to put Foundational Principles regarding land, place, and property rights on the table. This includes principles about title to land, the redemption and restoration of land, restitution and redistribution. I have posed many questions, and this website encourages dialogue on the eternal truths and principles pertaining to land matter questions we can deduce from scripture.
This is no time for sound bites, digging in with entrenched positions, or polarizing posturing. The wrinkles that prevent an equitable ownership of land need to be ironed out based on Foundational Principles that include the nuances of the protection of private property and the restoration of that which rightfully belongs to others. We as South Africans of all persuasions need to live in a healthy respect of God, the all-wise One, recognizing indeed that This land is your land, this land is my land, but ultimately it is His land.
Who I am
Founded The Institute for Innovation, Integration & Impact, Inc. in 1996. I have written numerous books (see Publications); my writings complement the work of The Institute. Over forty years of experience with leading management consulting firms, helping corporations from global multi-nationals through to business start-ups and social sector organizations. Was a Partner at KPMG Peat Marwick and at Computer Sciences Corporation. Spent fourteen years at Price Waterhouse working in South Africa in the United States. Passionate about the abolition of dichotomy—eradicating the false barriers between facets of life, especially the so-called secular and sacred.
With a team at The Institute have repurposed hundreds of corporations, working extensively with executive teams helping them envision new futures, and aligning such teams around a common purpose. These include businesses, NGOs and international charities. The team at The Institute has developed intellectual property and frameworks to rapidly analyze corporations and help them discover a fresh purpose that radically increases their focus, alignment and impact.
The Lord said to his people: “You are standing at the crossroads. So consider your path. Ask where the old, reliable paths are. Ask where the path is that leads to blessing and follow it. If you do so, you will find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16
